Caribou- Odessa

Caribou's 'Andorra' from 2007 will soundtrack my dream Summer if I ever actually get round to having it. It still serves as a great tool of inspiration for me, so take it as read that I was really happy to hear Caribou (formerly Manitoba) and his band are set to release their next album 'Swim' on April 20th 2010. Judging by the video below, the lads have stepped up to the plate again with a sound that remembers the warmth of their previous opus and also evolves confidently in a bolder direction. First single 'Odessa' certainly kicks in with tougher beats and basslines that wouldn't feel too misplaced on a dancefloor. The 'Swim' LP is going to be released on the exact day that I'll be going to watch their live show at Corsica Studios in London, and here's to hoping it will give the previous album a run for its money in the Dream Summer OST stakes.
