Next to the Gaslamp Killer's thrilling performance at Brainfeeder Fabric (chock-a-block with medieval dubstep a-bombs and lost psych-rock explosions), Dimlite came across like the Rainman. Awkward, shy, but nevertheless seriously talented when it comes to his particular craft. His live set showcased, in my opinion, the most interesting music to be heard on the night - quite an achievement considering some of the company he enjoyed on stage, with luminaries like Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, Daedelus and Martyn all doing their thing and doing it well.

The brother Dim quickly settled into his own comfort zone and even began singing a few lines to a slightly confused audience. I loved it though, and it's great to know that there is more of this to come on his next release. It's called Prismic Tops, it'll be released on Stones Throw affiliate Now and Then Records and you can get that on May 4th. Enjoy the exclusive mp3 below (it's a grower but give it time and it'll make you feel like Rainman's proud elder brother).

In case that wasn't enough, every producer out there will surely be able to take something from a video that emerged from a Dimlite studio session one day.
