Welcome to the 'Live to Listen' Podcast page. Here at Work:Ethic we love our music and want to tell everyone about the stuff we love so we've put this together for your listening pleasure. The music we feature comes from the top, middle and bottom of our record collections. There's going to be old music and new music. Serious music and silly music. Mixed and unmixed. We don't really care about genres and pigeonholes and hope you don't either. You might not like everything we put on our podcasts but we hope you find them interesting all the same. Above all, we hope you enjoy them and keep tuning in.

Episode one

We launch our first ever 'Live To Listen' podcast with one of the best songs ever (no arguments), "You Can't Hide Love", followed by the song that brought the producer Paul White to our attention in the first place (kind of made sense to revisit it after the recent success of his debut album). After that there's an excursion through some of the music that soundtracked our summer, with random bits of silly goodness thrown in for good measure. A period of reflection courtesy of Mount Kimbie and Homecut is rudely shattered by Amanda Blank, who gives way to new music from The Flaming Lips and a dirty classic by Silver Apples. After a future-classsic from rising star Andreya Triana it somehow felt right to finish on some Alice Coltrane. Still does.

Episode two

Our second podcast embraces the old and the new, giving nods to classic disco and techno from Charles Earland and Laurent Garnier as well as futuristic psyche from Koushik, Toro Y Moi & James Pants, not forgetting an exclusive banger from the Blue Daisy camp. Other noteworthy additions come from two recent work:ethic features, namely Domu (whose wicked zoltar remix shows exactly why so many people will miss his production wizardry) and also promising soul-singer Stac. Other than that, there's a wigged-out Thom Yorke remix of Doom, a Tribe / Dilla effort on the (good) r&b side of things and a bassy breakbeat number from Werk Discs head-honcho Actress. I can only apologise for the unashamed cheesiness of Ganymed's contribution.

Cosmo Vitelli - Delayer (Quiet Village Remix) [Cliché]
Jeru The Damaja - You Can't Stop The Prophet [Payday]
Koushik - One In A Day [Stones Throw]
